CALL FOR PAPERS | Centenario dalla nascita Fernando Távora

Fernando Távora was born in Porto on August 25, 1923. A leading figure in Portuguese architecture of the Second Twentieth Century, Távora is the author of dozens of built works-mostly located in Northern Portugal-, an urban planner, a prominent lecturer, first in the Escola de Belas Artes and then in the Faculdade de Arquitetura da Universidade do Porto, in the Departamento de Arquitetura da Universidade de Coimbra and then in the Escola de Arquitetura da Universidade do Minho, em Guimarães, he was also a refined intellectual and prolific writer.

The issue is published on the occasion of the centenary of Fernando Tavora's birth (2023) and is organized in collaboration with the Scientific Committee of the Italian Institute of Human Sciences and organized in collaboration with the Scientific Committee of the Italian Centenary, hosted by the Department of Architecture, University of Bologna, Departamento de Arquitectura Universidade de Coimbra, Faculdade de Arquitetura da Universidade do Porto, Fundação Marques da Silva, Politecnico di Milano - Mantova Campus.
