Villa Il Girasole turns 90: conference on conservation and the future

On Friday, November 14, 2025, the M15 Association in Verona will host the conference “The ninety years of Villa Il Girasole: conservation and rotation,” dedicated to the famous villa in Marcellise, a masterpiece by Angelo Invernizzi and a symbol of architectural and engineering innovation.

The meeting, promoted by the Order of Architects PPC of Verona and the Il Girasole Foundation, will be an opportunity to reflect on the historical and cultural value of this unique architecture, its state of conservation, and future prospects. Among the speakers will be our Vice Rector Prof. Davide Del Curto, who will give a presentation entitled “Solar Modernism: the Heliocomplex of Tashkent”.

The conference will take place from 9:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and will be followed the next day by guided tours of the villa.
